PIKACHU
Only a few people know the true story of Pikachu.
It’s not mine to tell. And I wouldn’t do it justice if I tried.
But I can show you what he became.
Two Forms. One History.
A Tale in Two Models
This wasn’t just another print. Project Pikachu is made of two forms — a gentle, wide-eyed baby Pikachu, and his final evolution: a beefed-up, bodybuilder version, sculpted with heroic mass and unspoken backstory.
The real story belongs to someone else — to Autumn, who was there when he was born, and who tells it better than I ever could. What I’ve done here is capture the arc in physical form, layer by layer, print by print.

Both models were printed on the Formlabs Form 3 in clear resin. After the prints came out of the wash, I paused for a moment. The transition was already there — in posture, in proportion, in presence. One model leans on innocence. The other on resolve.
Print Phase

Prime & Paint
Priming was straightforward — thin coats, even passes. You don’t rush these steps. A rushed undercoat makes even the best sculpt feel unfinished. And this project deserved to feel finished.
Painting was slower. Baby Pikachu wanted some blush. Everything needed to feel like the beginning of something. Beef Pikachu? He needed weight 🤣. The kind of weight you don’t just paint — you commit to.

Transformation
The final results speak for themselves. Side by side, they’re a reminder of growth, effort, and quiet pride. He didn’t just evolve. He became something greater — and someone still recognizable.
We don’t always tell the full story. Sometimes it belongs to someone else. But we can honor it in the way we build, in the care we take, and in the stillness of the finished piece.
Stay curious.
